Nami was born at her granparent's clinic in Tottori, Japan in the mid-summer of 2000 on the LAST day of her father's "having-a-kid" vacation. Her father was there, and nearly passed out in all the excitement of a 'live' birth.

Her first name "Nami", means "Wave", after the beauty of the meeting place between the deep blue ocean and sparkling white shore. Her middle name, "Kairyu" means Sea-dragon, after a mythical creature of the sea, both wise and powerful. So far, Nami has shown her power through voice; able to nearly shatter her parents ear-drums with her screams. Wisom is something I think will come with age... and Nami is only two.

Nami is an amazing child, surpassing our expectations for her ability to communicate at a very young age. She unfortunately is somewhat clumsy, and tends to not look where she is going... especially when that happens to be into walls, other people, or doors.

She's a big fan of food, which I believe is a mixture between the palate of a Japanese, and the appetite of a Canadian lumberjack. She will eat almost anything, including olives, spicy foods, green stuff, and loose change.
