| Nakano in Winter. |

Welcome to the 3rd Edition of the Mark-Umezawa homepage. Nami is now 5 months old and can roll (wooo) - which means she ends up sucking carpet when we are not looking. We went to Tokyo DisneyLand (again) - but this time it wasn't so bad. There was hardly anybody around, no waits for any of the rides or the caramel popcorn vendors. |

Nami had her first Christmas - but not in Japan. To find out where we all went - click here. (oops - not ready yet) |

The poor old guardian dog at the shrine covered in snow. I'm happy to report that this is our second winter in Japan, and this winter we have had several snow storms - yeah - here in Tokyo can you believe it? Nothing like back home so we hear - poor Canadians - but nevertheless cold, slushy, and grey for the most part. Lucky for us this turns quickly into hot, sticky and smelly summers, but not before the whole city turns pink with Sakura, and Sake sales skyrocket in harmonious unison to herald the coming of spring. Until then we have to slug it out with Winter, who has only really just arrived. |

| This picture shows the three girls, and the Hinaningyo set that the Umezawa's bought for Yuki and Nami. It is quite amazing. |

| Here is an exciting point - You can actually see Mt. Fuji from our place. Really! |
