THE TEN GOLDEN RULES
1/
I will
always perform a warm-up and a 10-min-recovery
when I am engaged in sports activities.
2/
I will
drink 3 to 4 cups of water (best Pocari Sweat)
every 30 min during training or competition.
3/
I will
avoid intense activities in case of external
temperatures lower than – 5° or higher than +30°
and in case of maximum pollution.
4/
I will
never smoke 1 hour before or 2 hours after a
sporting session.
5/
I will
never consume doping substance, alcohol, and drugs, and I will avoid
generally self-medication.
6/
I will
not practice intense sporting activities if I have
fever, nor during 8 days following a flue (in case
of fever + aches)
7/
I will
submit myself to a medical evaluation before
resuming an intense sports activity if I have more
than 35 years for the men and 45 years for the
women.

I will
inform my doctor about any pain in my chest or
abnormal breathlessness occurring with the effort

IFFL
has been promoting since 1977 a bridge of communication
and friendship among the foreign amateur soccer players
and their Japanese counterparts in Tokyo, Yokohama,
Chiba, Saitama and surrounding areas. Contacts with our
sister-league IFFC (International Friendship Football

Italy, Argentina, Chile, The Philippines, etc. enlarge
the scope of our movement. We hope to extend our
activities related to sports, cultural and recreational

Gustafsson, from Iceland, is the Top Scorer in Season 2011 of
Dopolavoro 7x7 League (played in DAINI every week in the evening,
from 7.55~9 pm, mainly on Thursdays). VAGs are champions in
Season 2011, with Tokyo Vikings as Runners-Ups.Ohmori FC
are a promising young Japanese team participating for the 2nd Season in
Dopolavoro 7x7 L, Tokyo Panthers who were deceiving in
Season 2011, are starting quite well Season 2012 in the Spring Cup.
Tokyo Lions FC, winner of the last IFFL Winter Cup 2011,
still have to find their best shape.

A FRIENDLY RIVALRY
BETWEEN TWO LONG-TERM RESIDENT CLUBS, LES PIEDS NICKELES
& TOKYO LIONS
On Sunday
January 29, kick-off 7.20 pm at Shigaku Ground, two
rivals were opposed in the IFFL 1st Div., namely Les
PNK and TOL. Tokyo Lions that includes
many Lions Masters players, could not resist against the
more dynamic PNK, under very hard condition of weather
(wind and cold) and the scoring ended in favor of PNK
7-5. Young PNK Goalie Masahiwa Miwa was opposed
to Master TOL Goalie Giuseppe Guidi, from Italy
(coming back from Norway and staying in Japan till
middle of March). Here are some pics from yesterday's
event.

The IFFL WINTER CUP 7X7 TOURNAMENT '12 will
take place on Sunday January 15, 2012, from 5
pm~8 pm in Shigaku Stadium [near Shinkoiwa Station].
All team's members must reach the premises of the
stadium at 4.20 pm. This tournament will take place
even in case of rain.
Registration Fee: 15,000
yen/team (number of participants/team min. 8 players ~ max. 12 players).
League Formula: One league
of 4 teams. Each team will play a total of 3 games vs the other teams. Two
pitches available.

July 3, IFFL Adm. is organizing a Charity Day Tournament to
collect funds for UNICEF Japan for the children victims
of the Tohoku GE.
We have the
ground available in DAI 1 from 12.30 Noon till 5 pm. We
will have a 11x11 soccer from 12.30 noon till 1.50 pm.
From 1.55
pm, we organize a 7x7 Soccer tournament
with 4 teams. Each participant will contribute with 1500
yen, and additional financial support is welcome from
teams as well from individuals. Last April we could
collect 83,300 yen. You can see the results at

Division 2011 is proceeding smoothly.
On Sunday
June 5, four teams in IFFL 1st D Season 2011 were in action
in DAINI Stadium. The results were San United Tokyo 0-0 FC
Onze, and SONY FC 6-2 Les Pieds Nickeles FC. Les
PNK fresh from their title of Champs in Season 2010 1st D
were surprisingly defeated by newcomers SONY in IFFL 1st D.

(Lower) TAKE OFF (TAK) started their
championship on Sun. June 19 with a game in 2nd D IFFL vs ANW,

in IFFL 1st D won in their first official match vs SPA by
4-2. Tokyo Lions drew 1-1 vs San United Tokyo on July
23.

On Sunday
April 10, the IFFL Administration organizes a
Charity Event to collect funds for the Japanese Red
Cross, with a three-team tournament, that includes
Green G. Triplets, IFFL Selection Team,
and Kato FC. San United Tokyo, Sparcs,
Roppongi Drunkards and Azabu Nightwings
will play their official matches, but we hope to collect
some funds from them on an individual basis. The Charity
Tournament in 11x11 soccer will start from 12.30 noon
and will end at 3.15 pm.

We could
collect a total of 83,300 yen, an amount that
went beyond our hope of collecting 15,000~20,000 yen.
Ernest Van and the IFFL Administration
sponsored the events with prizes and trophy. Here is the
list of donators. We will prepare a special page with
the pictures taken during the IFFL Great Tohoku
Earthquake Day provided for collecting funds for
this charity tournament. At the end of the day, at
around 5.30 pm, Ernest Van (IFFL Adm.) and
Takahiro Sato (ANW) opened the collecting box and
confirm the said amount that will be sent to the Japanese Red
Cross, and a copy of the receipt is displayed.

THE FIRST
IFFL EVENT FOLLOWING THE GREAT TOHOKU EARTHQUAKE

played the first friendly game vs Azabu
Nightwings on Sunday April 3, 2011, in the first
IFFL event following the Tohoku Earthquake of
Friday March 11. One-minute silence has been observed on
that occasion at the Aisatsu Ceremony. The game ended
with a 4-0 in favor of HUN.

shown a good opposition to HUN belonging to the IFFL 1st
D. Lions FC Masters long-term residents of the

Kevin Gray (British), Peter Roberts
(Australian), David Malinas (USA), Khanh Pham
(Vietnam), and Marko Gonzales (Peru). Some of
their ladies are in the background. They won 7-0 vs
RNW on Sat. May 14.

On Saturday November 6, LIONS FC
MASTERS (LOM) won a tough game vs GOLDEN RULE MASTERS (GOM) at the
Shibuyaku Hatagaya Stadium with a result of 4-2. Though GOM were dominating
the 1st half winning 2-1, the LOM players managed to change the course of the
match and win with a very late goal by Top Scorer Marko Gonzales (from Peru)
sealing thus the result. They played 10 games but lost 2 games vs DFM and GOM.
The new season 2010~2011 registered 4 teams with each team playing 3 games vs
their opponents.

Vagabonds FC (2nd Division West League 2004), both
teams long-term IFFL residents and regularly registered
in January 2004.
