"The Nations" (2nd Pic from L: Nour Borek [Drummer] - Paolo Cassella [Lead guitar]- Rodolfo Giusti [Saxophone]- Riccardo Cocciante [Keyboard] - Ernest Van-Mohr [Bass guitar]) - Pictures by Suavi Sonar Though a first test-song written by Ernest Van-Mohr in 1967 ("Due come noi") for the group and recorded at RCA Italiana and another attempt with a song written by Paolo and interpreted by Riccardo at Castrocaro Festival in Italy did not convince music promoters of that period, Paolo (as the word writer) and Riccardo (as a song writer/singer) decided to continue in the music field after December 1969, when "The Nations" was disbanded. In 1974, they could achieve their first success in Italy No. 1 Hit Parade with "Bella senz'anima". From that date on, Riccardo started a successful career in the music world in Italy and France. Nour left Rome for Switzerland (Lausanne), Rodolfo for Indonesia (Bali), and Ernest for Japan (Tokyo), countries where they presently work and reside with their respective family. Paolo remained in Rome. Time passed by, but my passion for pop music and sports (at http://home.att.ne.jp/sun/iffl/) has never declined...and here is my recent project in music, painting, video, and graphic design. Mis à part son intérêt pour la musique, Ernest Van-Mohr vit une passion intense pour les arts plastiques et graphiques, et en particulier pour le cinéma. Alors qu’il étudiait au Lycée Chateaubriand de Rome dans les années 60, il débuta sa carrière dans le monde cinématographique. Au début il se contentait seulement de petits rôles de figurant, travaillant surtout à Cinecittà, l’Hollywood européenne située à 9 km du centre de Rome et décor d’un film de Federico Fellini ("Intervista" – 1987) interviewé par un journaliste japonais. À la fin de ses études au lycée français, il s'est inscrit à l'Université de Rome - La Sapienza – Faculté d'Architecture, mais n'a pas oublié ses activités initiales dans le monde du cinéma. Ernest Van-Mohr a été inscrit dans l'Annuaire des Acteurs Européens ‘74.
Il a eu l'occasion de travailler et coopérer avec plusieurs acteurs et metteurs en scène renommés de cette période, parmi lesquels Jean Yanne (Les Chinois à Paris), Liliana Cavani (Mila Repa), Joseph Warren (Metti...che ti rompo il muso), Adalberto Albertini (Zwei Durch Dick und Dünn), Silvio Amadio, avec Curd Jürgens (Kapt'n Rauhbein aus St. Pauli) avec le metteur en scène Rolf Olsen et les acteurs Heinz Reincke, Johanna von Koczian, Frederick Stafford, Silvia Monti, Massimo Mollica, Karin Field, etc. et en août 1974, à l’achèvement de son dernier film en rôle principal avec Klaus Kinski, un acteur allemand célèbre et le père de Natasha Kinski (The Return of Shanghai Joe – interprétant sous le nom de Chen Lie, dans le rôle de champion de kung-fu et Zorro chinois qui maltraite les mauvais cow-boys pour protéger les pauvres paysans mexicains), il a abandonné complètement le monde du cinéma et quitta Rome pour Tokyo - Japon, où il s’est mis à coopérer comme architecte avec le Prof. Kenzo Tange. Il a fondé sa propre compagnie - ITA Co., Ltd - en 1980 au Japon et récemment une autre société - Duong Van Co., Ltd. - au Viet-Nam, à Saigon (Sud Viet-Nam)
Beside his interest for music, Ernest Van-Mohr nurtures a passion for plastic and graphic art, and especially for movies. While a student at the French school in Rome (Lycée Chateaubriand) in the Sixties, Ernest Van-Mohr started his career in the movie world. At the beginning he could act only in small parts, working mainly in Cinecittà, the Hollywood of Europe located in Rome and a subject of the film "Intervista" (1987) by Federico Fellini interviewed by a Japanese journalist. After several years, with the completion of his high-school diploma in Chateaubriand, he enrolled in the University of Rome at La Sapienza - Faculty of Architecture, but he has not forgotten his activities in the movie world. Ernest Van-Mohr was listed in the European Players' Directory '74.
He had the opportunity to work and cooperate with several famous movie actors and directors of that period, among whom French Jean Yanne (Les Chinois à Paris), Italian Liliana Cavani (Mila Repa), Joseph Warren (Metti...che ti rompo il muso), Adalberto Albertini (Zwei Durch Dick & Dünn), Silvio Amadio, with Curd Jürgens (Kapt'n Rauhbein aus St. Pauli) with Director Rolf Olsen and Actors Heinz Reincke, Johanna von Koczian, Frederick Stafford, Silvia Monti, Massimo Mollica, Karin Field, etc. In August 1974, after completing his last film in the leading part with Klaus Kinski, a famous German actor and the father of Natasha Kinski (The Return of Shanghai Joe - under the name of Chen Lie, in the kung-fu role of a "Chinese Zorro who kicked the ass of bad cow-boys to protect the poor Mexican peasants"), he abandoned completely the movie world and left Rome for Tokyo - Japan, where he started cooperating as an architect with Prof. Kenzo Tange. He established his own company (ITA Co., Ltd.) in 1980, and recently another one - Duong Van Co., Ltd - in Saigon (South Viet-Nam).

Le foot et Ernest Van-Mohr ne font qu'un. On peut dire qu'Ernest Van-Mohr
est né
avec un ballon dans les pieds. Cela fait plus de 50 ans qu'Ernest
Van-Mohr joue au foot. Et encore aujourd'hui il hante les divers terrains de
foot de Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, etc. comme joueur et comme arbitre
(plus de 500 matches arbitrés). Sa passion pour ce sport est sans limite. Si
bien, qu'arrivé
en 1974 à Tokyo, la première chose qu'il a fait c'était de
prendre un ballon de foot et d'aller dans un parc pour s'entraîner. Il a fondé
en 1977 l'IFFL (International Friendship Football League), une association
sportive et récréationnelle qui a permis à un grand nombre de joueurs japonais
et étrangers de pratiquer leur sport préféré et de créer un pont parmi les
diverses communautés sportives de Tokyo. Plus de 10.000 joueurs de toutes les
nations et 550 équipes ont participé
dans l'IFFL depuis lors, et chaque saison voit la participation de presque
2.000 joueurs et d’environ 60 équipes distribuées dans 3 divisions, y compris
la division des vétérans. Il est aussi le propriétaire et parrain de 4 équipes
amateurs de Tokyo jouant maintenant dans l'IFFL aussi bien qu'autrefois dans

Soccer and Ernest Van-Mohr are just one. It could be said that
Ernest Van-Mohr was born with a soccer ball in his feet. For
more than 50 years Ernest Van-Mohr was playing regularly soccer.
And still today he haunts every weekend the various soccer
venues in Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, Kanagawa, etc. as player as
well as a referee (he officiated more than 500 matches). His
passion for this sport is unlimited. When he came to Tokyo in
1974, the first thing he did was to take a soccer ball and go to
the closest park and have a soccer training session. He
established in 1977 the IFFL (International Friendship Football
League), a sports and recreational association which allows a
great number of Japanese and foreign players to practice their
favorite sport and to create a bridge among the various sporting
communities of Tokyo. More than 10,000 players of all nations
and 550 teams took part in the IFFL
since then, and each season sees the participation of almost
2,000 players and approximately 60 teams distributed in 3
divisions, including the division of the veterans. He is also
the owner and sponsor of several amateurs teams of Tokyo
playing now in the IFFL as well as in previous seasons in the Tokyo
