Northern Idaho - Silver Valley
This morning I felt easy because I did not have any specific plan today.
Although I had always made a reservation for a motel in advance since leaving
LA, I did not even do so
today. I decided to stay somewhere close to Seattle as much as I can. The only thing I had to do was to visit at Idaho welcome center I would find along I-90.
However, I could not find the welcome center. I am afraid that if I just
drove through Idaho, I could not have got any specific information about
Idaho. Although I have known Idaho is famous for potato, I had no evidence of it. So, I was trying to find any
interesting sign while driving.
In the first about 10 minutes in Idaho, I could sometimes see a word, "Historic." But Historic for what? Although I tried to find something related to those words, there was nothing. I could often see a city name, Silver Town, too. An
idea hit me; Silver Mining.
My guess was right. Silver Mining is one of the most famous things in Idaho.
I could find some information about it in Old Mission State Park along
I-90. So, I felt comfortable because today's task was over. |
