Grand Teton NP & Yellowstone NP

It is the best time to enjoy the view of National Parks in the early morning, I believe. For one thing, I cannot view beautiful sunrise except that time. Another reason is that in that time mountain, river, forest, grassland, etc. take on a large variety of colors.View of Tetons from "Teton Point Turnout" before sunrise Moreover, wildlife frequently appears in that time. Although sunset time is also good for same reasons, I prefer sunrise because I simply like "start" rather than "end."

One problem to enjoy beautiful in sunrise is it is sometimes too early. It was 4:30 AM that I left Motel today. It was the earliest time for me so far. Almost all people think I'm crazy, I know. However, getting out early was absolutely correct because the views of Grand Tetons were marvelous. I'm sure it was only time to see such beautiful scenery. Although IView of Tetons from a picnic area along Teton Park Road planed to go to two vista points such as "Snake River Outlook" and "Jenny Lake Overlook," I drove through and dropped at almost all view points after all. I wish I could see each view point in sunrise time because the really good time to enjoy the change of color is too short.

View of "Main Terrace"in Mammoth Hot Springs TerraceToday's good weather changed my mind to go to Yellowstone NP again. I could enjoy scenic drive through Yellowstone NP. But "Terrace Mountain" was not as good as my expectation because there was a lack of running hot springs. However, staying in two National Parks for four days satisfied me.
A Gate in the North Entrance of Yellowstone NPWhat I Learned Today - "Some places in Yellowstone NP was once a Fort."
According to the official brochure, "U.S. Army protected the park from 1886 to 1916." Some books tells that National Parks including Yellowstone NP were observed by U.S. Army before National Park Service was established.
