| Mississippi River - Great River It was a problem what route I should drive today because there was no direct  interstate highway from Dyersville to St. Cloud, Minnesota. After all, I decided to drive some byways along Mississippi River because they were scenic byways, "Great River Roads." Although it took me more time than interstate highway, it brought me real  rural scenery in Iowa and Wisconsin. There were rolling countryside, great
Mississippi River, and small and historical old town. They were really
peaceful, which made me peaceful. What surprised me a little was upper Mississippi River was wider than I had expected.  Mississippi River was still great in Minnesota where there was its source.
If I had more time I might have visited its source. However, I had to leave
Mississippir River near the state line between Wisconsin and Minnesota
because I had a lot of other places to go and see. |
