My Goals

Almost all friends and people think I'm crazy, I know. "Do you really drive by yourself?" "Can't you feel lonelinessRent-a-car "CIVIC, HONDA"?" Whenever I said, "I am going to drive around the states," they sometimes mistook "states" for California State. Although I understood their feelings, I have wondered why few people asked me the objective of my trip. To me, it's the most important thing and the above concerns are really small things compared with what I can get during the journey.
Nevada Welcome Center
The goals are clear to me. The biggest one is to think about my future; I want to consider what I should do, what I really want to do, what I can do, and how I can accomplish them. I've liked doing so since childhood. However, there has not been enough time to do so for the last decade. I mean it's the time that I could think about only these things without any concerns including my works.

There are a lot of other objectives. For example, I want to enjoy magnificent views of nature, wildlife, and big cities, to learn American history, culture, geography, and industry, to take a number of beautiful pictures, and to improve mySign of Arizona State English thinking (I hope). In addition, I like experiencing new things. So, I am sure I can do so everyday during this journey. I am never concerned I will be tired of this journey. Furthermore, I like achieving something which I set as my goal in advance. Therefore, I want to manage to complete this journey whatever happens. Of course, completing this site is also important.

Anyway, this journey is like marathon. I cannot accurately imagine total mileage. Probably, it would be over 10,000 miles. Only restriction I have is to be back by mid Utah Welcome CenterJuly because some summer classes start. So, it's important to adjust the pace according to my condition. Today's drive was comfortable and I feel fine now. I could drive through four states; California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. It took about 450 miles. I could see vast expanse of desert, tremendous rocks, beautiful green of meadow, and snow on the mountain. I'm looking forward to what I can see from now on.
