American History

While thinking about what to write about today during lunch, I hit upon an idea of making a table of history related to the areas where I will have been in chapter 2. For one reason, without doing so I wouldl forget about what I've learned Mid and North-Atrantic regions such as D.C., Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. For another reason, I suddenly recall the fact that Lincoln was from Illinois which will be the last state in this chapter. So, what history I should review? I decided to focus on three famous presidents such as Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln because so far they have been the most familiar president to me through this trip. Here is a page of "American History." (Since then I've added and modifed the content of "U.S. History.")

Great Lakes

To tell the truth, I totally forgot the name of each lake in Great Lakes in spite of longA park along Erie Lake in Ohio student life (16 years + 1 year). On the contrary, I couldn't remember the famous name "Great Lakes" in English. Looking up the word in a Japanese-English dictionary, I could finally get it. Fortunately, the dictionary showed me how to memorize the name of each lake. According to it, the View of Downtown Cleveland, Ohiotechnique is "HOMES" which is the acronym of Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. Thanks to it and this road trip, I could keep in memory at least the name and places of Ontario, Michigan, and Erie. However, it would be still difficult to remember other two because they are far from my driving root.
