I have been undecided whether to breed her for a long time.
Because, there is not a best stud dog for her breed in Japan.
I thought I gave up to make her breed if I could not find a best stud dog for her by the time she would become three years old.
However, she met fortunately a wonderful stud dog in the year when she became three years old!

Then, she got pregnant. However, it was two babies that were detected by X rays.
I paid attention to her meal and exercise.
At that time, all I could do for her babies was only that.

At 11:00p.m. of January 16, decreases her temperature, which informs of a birth. She scratched the floor, breathed hard and began to shake her body. I stood by her. However, the 17th passed without any incident.
At 5:30 a.m. of the following day, January 18, she was in labor at last. She bled faint brown liquid. However, her labor stopped and did not occur afterwards.
At 11:00 a.m., I became uneasy, contacted a vet and I took her to the vet in a hurry. The vet confirmed whether her babies survived, and said
"I will perform a Caesarean operation if she won't give birth tonight ".
I was quite worried. If I had not expected her baby, she wouldn't have had a hard time...... , I blamed myself.

At 6:30 p.m. of that day, she was in labor!
Her first baby was foot presentation.
I helped her to give birth, covering her baby's feet with gauze.
Then, she bore a vigorous boy of 210g at 7:15 p.m.

Continuously, she was in labor at 8:00p.m.
Then, she bore a lovely girl of 200g at 8:15p.m.
Thus, she was blessed with two babies on January 18.
Now she is a good mother.

I was able to help her to give birth supported by her breeder, Mr. and Mrs. Uehara and friends of mine Janice Sheehy and Norma J. Dirszowsky .

I have a wondering thing through this experience.
Suddenly a wonderful stud dog came to Japan when I began to give up breeding her.
And a dog show on which I wanted to exhibit her by all means was going to be held at her mating season period.
I talked to her about it.
Then, her mating season period was delayed like avoiding the dog show.
Her mating season period has never been delayed before....
After she had been bred, her breeder and I talked to her "That's enough because your boy and girl are special quality, It is better than the birth of a lot of common puppies.".
And, we also talked to her "It is interesting if you bear babies on the 18th", because she and her partner were born on the 18th.
To our surprise, she bore a boy and a girl on the 18th!
Is that quite a coincidence???
She gave birth as we had expected???
She meets our all requests if her babies will grow up as a Bichon of special quality. <G>
