Welcome to our Translation Service! We hope our service will be satisfactory to you. Please read the following before you place an order with us.

How to receive your Order:

We accept your order only by e-mail. Please send the original text to our e-mail address at shonan@yhb.att.ne.jp Then, we would contact you to discuss the details. Charts and diagrams are not to be translated. To receive the Japanese translation, your web browser needs to be able to read Japanese web pages.

Delivery of the Translation:

If you are a resident in Japan, and can settle the payment in Japan, we can deliver the translation by e-mail to your address according to the following schedule:

Number of letters of the text	Delivery of the translation
Up to 4,000 letters in English, or 2,000 letters in Japanese	If we receive your order by 12:00 noon	By 5:00 p.m. of the day after next
	If we receive your order by 5:00 p.m.	By 12:00 noon of 3 days later
Up to 8,000 letters in English, or 4,000 letters in Japanese	5 days after we receive your order
Text exceeding above number of letters	To be negotiated

To count the delivery date, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays are excepted.
If you are living outside of Japan, and if it takes extra time to settle the payment, we would discuss separately.

Translation Fee:

Depending upon the contents of the text, the fee is calculated as the multiple of the number of letters of the product (translated text) by the following unit price (punctuation and symbols are also counted in the fee):

Ordinary Document	6 yen per one letter	Ordinary Document	12 yen per one letter
Special Document	9 yen per one letter	Special Document	18 yen per one letter

Ordinary Document means such a document that needs no special knowledge to understand its contents.
Special Document means such a document that need special knowledge to understand its contents. (e.g. Technical, medical, legal documents, etc.)

Ordinary Document	2,400 yen
Special Document	3,600 yen

Payment of Fee:

Upon our notification, the client is requested to pay the fee to the following account:

Payee: Shonan Emporium

Bank Account No. 1555846 at Bank of Yokohama, Chigasaki Branch

For overseas clients, the payment should be made by Telegraphic Transfer to the same account.

Requirements:

In consideration of the unexpected accidents in communication which may result in the failure of transmission of the text, the original document must be kept in custody by the client. We are indemnified against any damage arising from the loss of the text caused by the act of god or accidents of any kind.
We are also exempted from all responsibilities for the result of the use of the translation, including but not limited to loss or damage or disputes of any kind. The client is strongly recommended to consult with the professionals in terms of the translated contents before putting them to use, especially if the contents require special knowledge to understand. We are also not responsible for the translation of words or sentences which are not understandable.
The client is requested to pay attention not to infringe the copyright of other persons. We are indemnified from any infringement by the client in terms of other person's copyright.
We are not in a position to accept the cancellation of the order by the client.
The client is hereby notified in advance that there will be cases where we would not be able to accept the order which will exceed our translation capacity or when the contents are not desirable for our service.
