Fourty-four years have passed since Boutique Sumire was opened. The former owner intended the shop to be for young people. But now as the steadfast customers are getting older and older, the shop also is trying to be suitable and comfortable for them. "These customers, mainly ladies over 50, are very supportive", said the second generation, Mr. Hamano. |
| Coffee shop "COBU" behind Sumire is well-known among people who can really appreciate it. Pictures have been exhibited on the walls since it was opened about 30 years ago. It is now a place for exhibition by new or veteran artists. Though it is a small coffee shop, you can appreciate art in front of you over coffee and cakes. |
