In front of the shop |
Twenty-six years have already passed since this shop was opened in 1972. They sell Sugoroku, Karuta, Kites, and many other Japanese traditional games and plays which are so dear to us. They also sell goods suitable for each season. Many customers, including parents and children, elderly people, foreigners, and even young people visit the shop.
The shop's owner is Mr. Shoichi Nejime who won the Naoki prize for his novel "Koenji Junjo Shotengai". As his wife and other clerks are kind though quiet, customers feel comfortable in the shop. |
