This office is one of the 17 local offices in Suginami Ward. It was moved from Asagaya-Kita 1-chome to the present place in August of 1993. Five minutes on foot from the north exit of Asagaya Station. The building is very unique and was designed by the famous architect Mr. Kijo Rokkaku. Here various works are done, such as the registration of a personal seal, works of a family register, tax payment for your car, local tax, etc., issuing of free bus pass for the elderly people, etc. etc. which are very convenient for people living nearby. You can use the box in front of the building for the request of your resident registration and so on after the office hour. There are two meeting rooms (one western style room and one Japanese style room) which may be used by any study group in Suginami Ward. Applications are necessary. |
| In front of the building you can find a corner with a table and chairs where you can smell burning leaves or small branches of trees. In 1988, Suginami established the "Silk(u) (to know about Suginami Ward) Road" walking path which winds around the city in two circles for a total of 36 kilometers. Both circles are easy and enjoyable to walk. On the Silk(u) Road, there are four oases for rest, such as an oasis for noses, for time, for ears, and for naked feet.
